I started my practice after 5 years at a large national investment management firm because I came to realize that for retirement income planning, every transaction had a tax and estate planning implication. To do my best work for my clients I needed to consider a wide range of ways to minimize taxes, maximize income, and protect their legacy. My work is focused on helping 7 and 8 figure families who are retired or within 10 years of doing so, when they’re starting to really get serious about finding out when they can retire and how much they will be able to spend. In our first year working together we cover a lot of ground! Some things we help them with are: ✔️Creating a strategy for a down market ✔️Identifying income tax reduction strategies ✔️Consolidating and managing investments ✔️Establishing a retirement cashflow plan and Social Security strategy ✔️Getting their estate plan completed and making sure their accounts and home are titled correctly to match their wishes ✔️Identifying each family’s optimal mix of Roth, Pre-tax and taxable investments Where I Do My Work: I work with clients in many states and I’m very comfortable building relationships over zoom or even just a phone call for clients who want to be “camera off” (I actually have some clients who I have never seen in person or on zoom! We cater to the introvert’s comfort level). About Me: When I’m not working I’m usually doing something outdoors with my wife and 4 kids. (Heck, even when I am working I’m outside a lot). We have been traveling full time in our RV since 2022 and spend most of our time outside. I am also that stereotypical 30 something year old who is into reading history, smoking meat, and cooking new dishes. I grew up in a big family and started my first job at Chick-fil-a the week I turned 14. I am probably the most obnoxiously optimistic person you will ever meet. I get emotionally invested in what’s going on in my clients lives. The best parts of the job are seeing them hit big milestones, like the first time they realize that retirement isn’t just a dream, it has a “D-Day” date right around the corner. The toughest part is visiting them in the hospital and saying goodbye for the last time when they conclude their retirement. One of my favorite quotes is by Teddy Roosevelt: “Far and away the best prize that life has to offer is the chance to work hard at work worth doing.”
