I am a veterinary emergency critical care specialist (BVSc DVM DACVECC MRCVS). My experience includes patient care and clinical coaching across three countries. I've been in situations where I needed to think and act fast and make decisions that could change lives, including my own. And I've made a TON of mistakes. It's no good trying to avoid or resist stress. The human body is evolutionarily adapted to sensing it out - despite the number of hours you've slept or how cold your shower was. I've learned that it's not about stress avoidance but ⚡stress adaptation⚡. Critical thinking is all about learning how to think better. It takes better decision-making, resilience, and cognitive flexibility to perform at your best when it matters the most. I explore tools for better thinking and making better decisions under pressure and share what I learn. I've obsessed over this stuff for years. Mental models, frameworks, and technology can all be combined to make our lives easier. So we can use our headspace for the more meaningful things in life - like family or cats 🐈.
