Law + Entrepreneurship + Tech Strategically building businesses through a combination of law, entrepreneurship, and technology is my life goal. Drawing from the intersection of these three fields, I support the development of business and policy strategies that are flexible enough to handle new challenges and benefit from emerging opportunities in a rapidly changing world. At LivingSocial, I worked with customers to ensure that their interaction with the LivingSocial platform was more than just a monetary exchange - it was an experience. I discovered the joys of "surprising and delighting" customers, and often worked to send customers handwritten thank you cards. Embracing the department’s growth from 30 to over 150 advocates, I became certain that my time would be best spent helping innovative businesses strategically map out and deliver on their plans for expansion. In August of 2012 I moved to San Francisco to attend the University of California Hastings College of Law, one of the few legal institutions in the country that enjoys the privilege of being located at the epicenter of technological innovation. My studies and practical clinics focussed on intellectual property and startup law. Combining this knowledge with my formal undergraduate business studies, I intend to pursue a career designing and implementing growth strategies to accelerate the adoption of great businesses and great ideas. At Legal.io, I am part of the core team designing and implementing technologies and community legal libraries for legal organizations on the front-lines of the fight to close the Justice Gap.
