I was hired on a 3-month contract to post LinkedIn content on behalf of ButterDocs to engage their audiences, grow brand affinity, and spread their brand narratives.​

- Averaged 60 reactions and 32 comments per post, with the top-performing post reaching 202 reactions and 43 comments.

- Consulted and helped ButterDocs refine their upcoming brand campaigns.

- Received overwhelmingly positive feedback from ButterDocs' audiences and ICP (see image attached).

I was the only marketer at a 6-person MarTech startup in search of a PMF.​

- Generated $1.6M in marketing-sourced pipeline (through blog posts, webinars, and organic LinkedIn posts).

- Grew the company's organic LinkedIn following by 450%.

- Developed systems and automations that saved us ~10 hours/week on content creation and marketing reporting.

- Led the creation and promotion of webinars, which achieved our MQL targets.

Every time you're scared to try that wild campaign, a creative social post, or anything similar because you think it's cringe, remember this:

You're not just competing for attention with companies like yours.

You're also competing with dancing cat videos, thirst traps, brainrotting TikTok skits, and whatever outrageous thing some politician said.

It's better to be cringe than irrelevant.

.. or at least that's what I tell myself 🙃

When you understand that some marketing tactics serve fundamentally different purposes, then it's clear what makes bullshit dichotomies like:

- Clear vs clever
- Brand vs performance
- Creative vs rational
- Pipeline vs awareness

... useless to everyone.

It's not EITHER-OR -- it's nearly always BOTH if you're not a one-trick pony and you aren't working with one-trick ponies.

We have to both win attention and convert it. We have to both sell and be remembered. Sometimes educate, and sometimes entertain. It goes on...

I hear these strawman arguments all the time:

- "Who needs creativity? B2B buying decisions are long and complex!"
- "Buyers don't choose you because of your swag and mascots!"
- "I've never heard anyone lose a deal because their brand was too boring!"

OF COURSE NOT. No one in their right mind has ever argued that's what makes or breaks a deal, lol. That was never the purpose of those tactics.

These strawman arguments tell me you don't fundamentally understand marketing beyond your own (narrow) role and the kind of companies you worked for.

Marketing is nuanced. Always has been, and always will be.
