One of the first recruits in biology, I helped set up the domain expertise and led the biologics IP team catering to the IP requirements of the Biologics Research Centres in Switzerland and India.
Was a key member of the team that conducted the IP due diligence that led to the buying of two NBEs from a Canadian company. Was responsible for prior art search, landscape analysis and Freedom -to-Operate opinion.
Conceived, setup and managed an in-house search-able Indian patent database that reduced attorney cost for Indian equivalents searches by almost 50 percent.
Based on work done, was selected for an Employee Rolling Rewards Program in recognition of potential to sustain the organization’s growth in future.

For each application, searched for prior art, judged novelty/inventive step and generated examination report and office actions which formed the basis for acceptance or rejection of the patent application by the patent office.
