I am an experienced Assessor who assesses evidence that will result in learners achieving an Level 2 in Business Improvement Techniques and Adult Appreticeship

This role requires good organisational skills, attention to detail, competent IT skills and excellent communication skills; both oral and written.

I am qualified to TAQA standards. Along with experience in the assessment of candidates working towards NVQ BIT Level 2 I have strong knowledge of the following tools - Lean, value stream mapping, Kaizen, 5S, SMED, visual management, process flows, practical problem solving (Fishbone, 5Y etc.) SOPs, as well as a background in, and knowledge of, manufacturing, warehousing &amp; transactional operations. My main responsibilities include:

Assessing candidates to awarding body standards undertaking an NVQ level 2 in Business Improvement Techniques

Working in partnership with a trainer during improvement workshops to ensure evidence is provided and captured in the learner's portfolio in line with the awarding body and qualification standards.

Ensuring all assessment processes and documentation are compliant with awarding body standards.

Providing a high quality of support and guidance for all learners.

Ensuring all portfolios are submitted for IQA check in a timely manner.

Enroling candidates to stakeholder requirements.

As a Lean Practitioner I have a thorough understanding of Lean tools and techniques and their application. I support Lean [implementation] activity across the business providing support to staff and managers. My Key responsibilities are to:-
• Engage staff in process improvement to create standard working practices
• Support the facilitation and delivery of Core Lean Learning events (Lean Working) to develop Lean understanding
• Support and coach managers to understand the Lean principles and embrace the continuous improvement philosophy in the working environment
• Deliver corporate Lean messages as required
• Deliver business within a manner that demonstrates continuous improvement using Lean techniques and champion change
• Identify opportunities for adoption of continuous improvement activities
• Ensure that colleagues and leadership teams identify and agree opportunities to improve process and support effective delivery of agreed improvement opportunities
• Proactively engage with staff to become a focal point as a Lean subject matter expert.
• Effectively support the activity in partnership with the Lean expert,
• Support managers in the development and implementation of lean activity plans and monitor results to ensure objectives are achieved
• Deliver communications in line with plans
• Manage and mitigate risks to the successful delivery of the change agenda for each initiative undertaken
• Support local TU consultation as required
• Support initiative team members in Lean principles and skills transfer to increase internal capability to apply Lean management.
• Maintaining effective project management and evaluation of the findings by the initiative end date
