My name is Harpaul and I am originally from Victoria, British Columbia. I completed my undergraduate education at the University of Victoria. I explored various topics while I completed my Major in Biology. I completed internships involving the effects of pesticides on various crops and was involved in setting up laboratory experiments as a laboratory assistant for Cell Biology/Botany classes. I wanted to continue my education in the health sciences and decided to pursue a Diploma in Respiratory Therapy. Respiratory Therapy fuses the knowledge of the cardio-pulmonary system with the application of technology to assist in the diagnosis, treatment, and management of various cardiopulmonary disorders. My education has led me to work at a sleep apnea clinic where I manage sleep apnea conditions with positive pressure therapies. I have started my journey toward transitioning to the technology industry. I am a current student of the Information and Computer Systems program at Camosun College. I am learning about software development. project management. system administration and data structures and algorithms. I have learned web development topics such as HTML, CSS and used Wordpress and Bootstrap. I have practiced writing code in Python, Java and Javascript and each day I try to improve my skills.
