As founding Editor-in-Chief, I:
- Oversaw all facets of writing, editing, fundraising, printing, and publication
- Led nine-member Editorial Staff, organized and hosted regular meetings
- Secured a large, recurring grant from the Intercollegiate Studies Institute covering all operating costs
- Wrote occasional opinion pieces, as well as an “Editor’s Letter” introducing each monthly issue
- Curate our very own website, CrusaderStandard.com

I remain involved as an Editor Emeritus, and continue to serve the Crusader Standard team as a strategic advisor.

Established in 2021, the Crusader Standard is an independent, non-profit, student publication devoted to preserving and fortifying the Catholic identity, conservative intellectual spirit, and distinctive culture of the University of Dallas. Specifically, the Standard seeks to:

- Defend and promote the Faith on campus and in the broader community through the articulation of traditional principles of Catholic thought

- Advocate socially and politically conservative views and values in the student body

- Complement the rigorous education offered at UD by facilitating purposeful discussion and investigative discourse

- Strengthen the culture and community of the future by examining and highlighting the distinctive heritage of the university’s past

Elected by my peers as one of five Senior Class Senators, I was also appointed to serve as the Chairman of the Crusader Outreach Committee. This group of six Senators is responsible for planning and executing all community-oriented Student Government events, such as monthly “Capp House” musical performances and the bi-weekly ice cream social, "Sunday Sundaes."

The University of Dallas Student Government functions as the representative assembly of the UD
student community. The purpose of UD Student Government is to:
1. promote the general welfare of the University and the student body through its support of
the University's mission, ideals, and values;
2. communicate student concerns and interests to appropriate University committees and to
the University administration;
3. sponsor programs and services to enhance campus life; and
4. represent the student body to communities beyond the University, including organizations,
institutions, governments, and other universities.

Student Ambassadors are appointed to the position by the Office of Undergraduate Admissions after a thorough and selective interview process.

In my role as a Student Ambassador, I:
- Lead campus tours for prospective students and their families, new faculty and staff, Board Members, and others in the community
- Assist visitors with Admissions and Financial Aid questions both in the office and over the phone
- Conduct one-on-one information sessions with campus visitors
- Aid the Office of Admissions in recruiting prospective students through videos and other online content

Student Ambassador - Office of Admissions

Co-sponsored by Phi Beta Kappa and the University of Dallas English Department, the University Scholar is a publication produced by the Phi Beta Kappa students on campus. It includes fiction, visual art, poetry, essays, articles in the natural sciences, and other academic writing. It annually features the winner of the Raymond DiLorenzo Prize for the best Literary Tradition II Annotated Essay as well as the winner of the Marilyn Lendvay award for the best Literary Tradition IV short story.

As an Editor on the Scholarly Committee, I worked with four peers to evaluate, edit, and select three academic submissions for publication in this year's journal.

Appointed by the Student Body President to serve as one of five Student Representatives on the Student Discipline Committee.

This Committee meets in conjunction with faculty members to consider cases that could result in suspension or expulsion. As such, the University seeks “thoughtful, just, mature, [and] fair students” for this work.

The American Public Philosophy Institute

The Dallas Forum supports a community of undergraduate and graduate students in the Dallas area who seek to understand American public life through the lens of the Western natural law tradition.

The Dallas Forum on Law, Politics, and Culture (formerly the American Public Philosophy Institute) is a scholarly institute dedicated to understanding contemporary American life in light of timeless truths about human flourishing. Our programs support a community of scholars, students, and professionals who wish to recover the wisdom needed for the direction of American public life, and who expect to find that wisdom in norms derived from nature and the Author of nature.

Undergraduate Fellow

United States Senate

As a summer intern working for Senator Ted Cruz in his North Texas District Office, I:
- Received and responded to all incoming communications in the North Texas District Office. In this capacity I respectfully worked with individuals of all political leanings, including those explicitly - and inappropriately - hostile to the Senator and his Office.
- Assisted constituents in securing help from federal agencies both in the office and over the phone
- Drafted press releases, in-office memos, and letters sent on behalf of the Senator
- Recognized and supported the opening of local small businesses by creating and presenting them with unique Certificates of Commendation from Senator Cruz

The Constituent Services staff assists Texans having difficulties with various federal agencies. Interns primarily assist with clerical duties that are essential to the Senator’s service to his constituents. Responsibilities include administrative duties, drafting letters, data entry, and various other office tasks. Additionally, interns also work with the North Texas Regional Director and Deputy Regional Director on special projects.

Intercollegiate Studies Institute

The ISI Honors Program is a highly selective undergraduate fellowship that takes students deep into the traditions of freedom, liberty, and conservative thought. It’s an intellectually immersive experience like no other.

The 2021 Honors Summer Conference, held in historic Williamsburg, Virginia, focused on the future of history and aimed at recovering justice, liberty, and truth in an age of historical revolt. Students and leading professors, journalists, and scholars from across the country explored - among other topics - the role of history in our society and discussed ways in which a strong sense of historical consciousness and cultural memory might be reinvigorated in this nation.

ISI Honors Scholar

Dundee Nursery & Landscaping

In my time at Dundee Nursery, a local, family-owned small business in Plymouth, Minnesota, I:
- Operated a skid-steer loader and performed various duties around the property, including moving product, loading bulk orders for customers, and grading roadways

- Traveled throughout the metro area as part of a two-man team planting trees, bushes, flowers, and shrubs of all shapes and sizes for private homeowners and businesses alike

- Assisted customers with loading vehicles and trailers and with finding the correct plants, soils, mulches, fertilizers, etc. for their unique needs

- Helped maintain the property, from patching water lines and landscaping to performing janitorial services

Customer Service and Property Management

The University of Dallas Rome Program has been changing lives for over 45 years with a unique curriculum that combines intensive study of art, architecture, history, literature, theology and philosophy with travel that transports students to the very places where Western civilization first flourished and where Catholic intellectual and spiritual traditions continue to flourish today.

During their semester abroad, students make the Rome campus their “home base” while they travel to places like Florence, Venice, Assisi, Greece and, of course, Rome. They’ll read about Odysseus and Aeneas one day and walk in the footsteps of these ancient heroes the next. They’ll study the techniques used by Michelangelo while standing in front of the Pietà or gazing at the ceiling in the Sistine Chapel. They’ll debate the words of Socrates and the works of Plato and Aristotle while walking the same hills the great philosophers trod many millennia ago, experiencing the kind of context that can’t be found in a book and the types of insights rarely found in the classroom.

Religious Freedom Institute

Attended the inaugural three-day course designed to inform one’s understanding of the importance of religious freedom and to impact one’s leadership potential and opportunities. Held at the Museum of the Bible in Washington, D.C., participants explored the critical role Religious Freedom plays in a free society and the role that key historical figures have played in protecting this fundamental human right.  The program included high-impact sessions with religious freedom scholars and advocates, multi-sensory and interactive learning exhibits at the Museum of the Bible and other sites throughout D.C. such as USAID and the Holocaust Memorial Museum, and meetings with public officials currently working to advance religious freedom in the US and abroad.

After graduating summa cum laude from the University of Dallas in May 2023 with a degree in History and concentrations in American Politics and Political Philosophy, I now work as a Law Clerk and Business Operations Manager for Larkin Law, a growing firm offering thoughtful and effective estate planning and administration legal services.

I am currently exploring careers in law, business, and journalism.
