Over 1000 units and $96 Million AUM. A number to be proud of... But at what stake? At the beginning of my healthcare journey, I traveled daily for about an hour using public transportation to get to classes. Not to mention: → Failed deals → Taking bold moves → Long working hours → Facing fears consistently → Sacrificing for this “big goal” → Thinking about how to improve 24/7 → Struggling to find the right business approach → Hours spent at the properties doing decision-making → Researching, learning, supporting being there for others Today, I stand firm, because of the journey I went through. My love for medicine and desire to help others like me have not changed. It only grew. Physicians and, in general, healthcare providers spend many years studying and delaying gratification. However, when we finished our training, I found out: 1. We may have a considerable amount of debt. 2. Many times, we work even more than during training (weekends, nights, holidays, birthdays, etc.). 3. If we work for an employer, many health systems see medicine as a business rather than a service. 4. If we have our own practice, we need help with insurance companies and health systems. 5. We pay an insane amount of taxes every year. As we continued working, we started questioning whether there were other ways to build wealth and create multiple income streams to supplement our paychecks. That's when we discovered real estate - first through single-family rentals and then through passive investing. We witnessed the power of working together with other people in real estate, and the difference this can make in people’s lives. For me, it is not about money, IT'S ABOUT HAVING CHOICES, FREEDOM.
