People relate to mistakes, delays, and doubts more than polished wins. Share the ugly in-between, not just the end result.

3️⃣ Add your quirks.
Your humour, weird analogies, or oddly specific pet peeves, these make your posts memorable. They make you you.

You don’t need to be louder than everyone else here.
You just need to sound like you.

1. Share one behind-the-scenes moment.
Not a product photo. Not a press release. A real moment—like your first prototype, a customer win, or even a mistake that taught you something. People love seeing the human side.

2. Write in first person.
Instead of “Our company achieved X,” try “I still remember the day we hit X. Here’s what went behind it.” One simple tweak and suddenly your audience feels like they’re hearing from a real person, not a faceless brand.

3. End with a thought people can react to.
Ask a question, share a learning, or drop a short punchline that makes people want to comment. Engagement starts when people feel invited into the conversation.

Let’s decode what kind of personal stories actually make a impact on the audience.

Okay, answer this one question:
Why do you remember what you remember?

In my case, it’s because it made me FEEL & THINK something.
And that’s exactly what your “personal story” should do.

You can post about your 5 a.m. routine, a client win, or that one failure that shook you.
But here’s the truth:
→ If it only tells people what happened, they’ll scroll.
→ If it tells them what they can take away from it, they’ll stop and think.

Because the reality is simple:
Your story + their insight = impact.

3 things you can try today:
1️⃣ End every story with a “so what?”
Before hitting post, ask: Why should my audience care? What will they walk away with?
If you can’t answer that, the story isn’t ready.

2️⃣ Add a micro-insight
It doesn’t have to be deep philosophy. Even something as simple as “This taught me to never pitch without backup slides” works. Small lessons land better than generic “consistency is key” lines.

3️⃣ Flip the camera on them
After sharing your story, add one line inviting the reader in, it turns monologues into conversations.

You mess up. You learn the hard way.

Sometimes you chase the wrong things: the fun, the distractions, the people.
And it takes you months to realize your dreams were on pause the whole time.

But here’s the thing:
When your destination is clear, these mistakes don’t break you.
They build you.

➡️ They teach you discipline when you’re down to your last 500 rupees.
➡️ They teach you self-worth when you give too much to the wrong people.
➡️ They teach you emotional stability because no one else will.

And one day, you wake up with clarity, direction, and a heart that doesn’t panic easily.

So I guess it’s safe to say:

Because when you’re literally rewriting what goes on every dining table, your story deserves to be told beyond the label.

So yes, that’s the personal brand I’d build,
if they let me.

And that bet is called Chai Point: a brand that grew from a single store in Bengaluru to 180+ outlets and 3,500+ myChai™ workplace dispensers, serving millions of cups every single month.

"Here are X lessons I've learned over Y years in Z industry" will get you ZERO attention though, the 'lessons' you'll be sharing are GOLD. Here's what will actually get you the eyeballs your story deserve.

Hear me out. There’s a major problem here.
You’re trying to serve a 5-star meal in a plain brown box.
You know what I mean?

Instead of changing the “lessons,” change the packaging.
On a platform like LinkedIn, packaging = personality, surprise, and contrast.

3 fresh, actionable angles you can use today:

1️⃣ Reframe the lesson as a mini-drama
Instead of: “Lesson #1: Always validate your idea”
Write: “I spent ₹2 lakh building a product no one wanted — here’s the ₹0 validation trick that would have saved me”

2️⃣ Borrow tension from a different industry
If you’re in SaaS, tell it like a restaurant disaster.
If you’re in D2C, compare it to a breakup story.
Humans remember stories, not sectors.

3️⃣ Give every post a ‘shower thought’ moment
One line that makes people pause and go, “Wait… that’s true.”
Example: “Most founders don’t run out of money. They run out of momentum.”

Your lessons aren’t the problem.
The way you deliver them is.

Here’s why his page is basically a masterclass in personal branding and how you can build a powerful personal brand as a founder:

1. He writes like he’s texting a friend:
Uber drivers on video calls. Parents rejecting his love marriage. Packaging hacks that save 5 lakhs. You never know what’s coming next, so you keep reading.

2. Big milestones, zero gyaan:
100cr ARR? 15 lakh ice creams a month? He drops the numbers but always with a story or lesson, never a humblebrag.

3. He engages. Every. Single. Day.:
Not just posting → replying and building actual conversations. Feels like a community, not a monologue.

4. Same founder, running jokes:
Math fails. Cricket takes. The man has lore. His page feels like a series you don’t want to miss.

5. Zero overthinking, maximum consistency: Frequent posts. Raw photos. Real thoughts. Not a single post feels “PR approved.”

The big lesson?
Your personal brand grows when you stop trying to “look” like a founder… and start sounding like a real person building in public.
