•	Responsible for underground exploration, resource and grade control modelling, analysis and interpreting of underground geological mapping and sampling.
•	Coordination of all underground geological activities focusing on grade control and aspects of the operation aimed to optimize gold ore, supervising exploration and resource drilling programmes.
•	Maintaining and improving systems of primary data collection and documentation that improve the local geological understanding, execution and review of drilling plans to obtain best results.
•	Responsible for quality assurance and quality control throughout the underground mine process (including data validation).

Senior Development Geologist

As Development Geologist at Barrick Tulawaka Gold Mine I was involved in the Tulawaka onsite prospect generation, review and ranking process. The project was undertaken by consultant in collaboration with Tulawaka Geology Department team.

•	Effectively manage and implement the company’s HSE policies and ensure a safe working environment on all project areas.
•	Actively plan and run all exploration and development drilling programmes in the project areas.
•	Plan, supervise, implement, monitor and account for exploration and development expenditure within the project areas with regular reports to senior management.
•	Supervision of drilling programmes, drilling contractors and core yard field assistants.
•	Compiling End of Month geological Report.
•	Design of surface drilling programmes and drill schedule.
•	Geological, structural and orebody interpretation, wire-framing and resource modelling using Vulcan software.
•	Logging and data entry of exploration and development RC and core data.
•	Coordinate, dispatch and monitor all samples to the laboratory.
•	QA/QC analysis and laboratory auditing.
•	Supervision and training of junior geological staff, graduate and coordinating casual labourers to ensure the most effective use of the work force.
•	Daily KPA and KPI specific objectives, milestones and mesurements reporting.
•	Liaise with mining and mining contractor personnel to ensure smooth interaction of exploration and development activities with mining.

•Grade control drilling programmes design, supervision and monitoring for multi pits.
•Grade control data collection, compilation and interpretation.
•Ensure appropriate sample and assay quality control measures are in place and being monitored.
•Maintain high standards of logging, data entry, sectional interpretation, digitising, solid and block modellimg.
•Manage grade control logistics within time, resources and budget constraints.
•Understanding and ensuring the grade estimation parameters are correct and applied correctly.
•2D interpretation and 3D modelling of mineralization, geological and structural data using Datamine ore controller.
•Producing ore block/spotters plans for ore block mining/spotting.
•Reconciliation and report writing monthly, quarterly and annually

Grade Control Modelling and Evaluation Geologist

Anglogold Ashanti - Geita Gold Mine

Focus on daily running and reporting of production, grade control RC logging and sampling, production mapping and bulky density sampling activities. Dilution control supervision to ensure subordinates comply with standard working procedures. Worked together with mine geologists, supervisors, Engineers and contractors to resolve geological issues and assist with grade control.
