Trained as a Ph.D. chemist with a specialization in biochemistry, I have accumulated extensive experience throughout my career, actively contributing to numerous scientific projects spanning diverse disciplines. My primary focus has been on anti-cancer research, delving into the intricacies of sarcoma and carcinoma through the lenses of immune-oncology and compound drugs. Additionally, my expertise extends to combating neurodegenerative diseases, with a particular emphasis on Alzheimer's (AD). In this pursuit, I employ distinct organic compounds to discern between different phenotypes of AD. My professional journey has seen me evolve from a graduate researcher to a postdoctoral scholar, research associate, senior research associate (STS), operations manager, and executive staff member. Currently holding the role of operations manager, I oversee a portfolio exceeding five million dollars, encompassing instruments, services, and software contracts. My responsibilities extend to managing imaging core facilities, operating as a quasi-contract research organization (CRO) offering cutting-edge imaging and spatial transcriptomics services to the research community. Specifically, the services provided under my management include Epi-Fluorescence Microscopes, Digital Slidescanner, HyVolution Confocal, Super Resolution Confocal (STED), Spinning Disk Confocal, Cleared Tissue LightSheet, Lattice LightSheet, NanoString CosMx, 10X Genomics Xenium, AI Analysis Workstation, and Up to 200TB cloud storage. In this capacity, my mission is to enhance and broaden collaborative capabilities in research within northern Ohio and beyond, ensuring that our facilities and services contribute significantly to the advancement of scientific knowledge and innovation.
