Directed acquisition brand strategy for launch of national digital bank for small business.  Led development of brand story, visual identity and guidelines for Spark Business, Capital One’s divisional sub-brand for small businesses.

Led strategy and execution for award-winning “customer love” campaign, including direct marketing, website development, mass media, PR, social media and events.  Campaign recognized as Ad Week’s Ad of the Day and Fast Company’s Top 5 Ads of the Week in August 2015, and garnered CEO’s Circle of Excellence award.

Directed brand strategy and marketing execution for retail small business banking, including deposits, lending, digital platforms and sales & servicing support.  Spearheaded organizational design and process improvement efforts across marketing, brand, creative development and operations.          

Developed positioning strategies for Capital One Home Loans.  Led direct marketing for home equity and distributed lines of business.  Managed team leading direct, online and mass marketing for direct and CRA (Community Reinvestment Act) lines of business.

Brand Strategy Consultant

Directed brand strategy team of 10 for national direct banking business.  Launched $30 million multi-city integrated campaign for online savings account, created positioning and initial brand strategy for launch of groundbreaking hybrid branch/online test market, and led all online and offline direct response marketing campaigns.

Directed initial phases of brand conversion of Chevy Chase Bank to Capital One Bank upon Capital One's acquisition of  Chevy  Chase, including  brand strategy, marketing planning, signage and collateral changes, and customer communications.

Initiated and co-led establishment of Brand department People Imperative.  Scope included refining and improving performance management processes, training and development, and promoting morale.

Directed brand strategy team for Capital One's $141 million point-of-sale finance division.  Created positioning and value proposition for flagship healthcare finance product, and led team of 4 across direct marketing, partnerships and trade shows.

Directed brand strategy for national direct banking business.  Led online, direct marketing, print advertising and customer management for $100 million-deposit business.  Created positioning and new creative identity and logo.  Collaborated on quality assurance program recognized by CEO's Circle of Excellence award.

Delivered brand strategy for integrated direct and in-branch home lending product, and collaborated on positioning and other brand strategy work for Capital One Auto Finance division
