Heather is an enthusiastic marketing communications leader with two decades of experience from top global communications agencies and one of the world’s most iconic brands — McDonald’s USA. Strategic, creative and driven, Heather is a culturally competent and trusted workplace leader who thrives on getting results. With expertise in team, project & account management, consumer & cultural engagement, media relations, marketing communications, event execution, crisis & executive communications, and more, she approaches tasks with a solution-oriented & inclusive mindset and through a consumer lens. While she spends most of her time working to bring out the best in her team & agency partners, she enjoys rolling up her sleeves to brainstorm and help execute award-winning campaigns and brand actions built to make a difference in communities — comfortably managing both scrappy & multi-million dollar budgets. Before joining H&R Block to lead external communications & community impact, she led cultural & community communications at McDonald’s. Past clients include P&G, General Mills, Target, Creme of Nature, AT&T and several McDonald’s co-ops. When not working, Heather enjoys relaxing with family and friends, traveling, trying new recipes (in her next life, she'll be a chef!), and membership in organizations that serve the underserved.
