Not that long ago, I had an “aha moment”. I made a new self discovery. Someone here on LinkedIn shared a TedTalk about being a multipotentialite. I had never heard of such a word! And every time I use it my computer and my phone tell me it is not spelled right. Being a multipotentialite means that I have many talents and I love exploring them to find a way to make them all work together. Before I discovered the world of being a multipotentialite I thought I just had too many varied interests. Now I know that I can explore them and that exploration allows me to be a multitalented member of any team. Now on to the typical professional history! I am an instructional design professional with over 10 years of experience training well over 80,000 individuals at multiple levels. I have experience in project management working with 2-3 organizations at the same time, each consisting of over 300 members. I am digital media savvy, working in organizations of 40,000 members and more. My experiences have culminated in the instructional design field where I work on projects through the phases of analysis and design to completion. My status of being a lifelong learner means I have various skills involving education, training, and adding value to others. I am a military spouse who has had to make a career for myself wherever the Army has moved my active duty spouse and myself. I have enjoyed various positions and getting to develop relationships with many diverse people. After over 12 moves I have a permanent home for a while but that does not mean you will find me there as I travel 6 months out of the year in my RV. I am enjoying the ability to work from home. I am skilled in communication and work well with others. Working virtually is not a challenge for me but a pleasure. I like to be able to problem solve and improve anything I can for the organization that I work with. Now that my husband is retired from the military we are able to travel and work remotely from across the United States! I enjoy volunteering, knitting and spending time with family to include my dogs in my spare time.
