Emerging CPG brands have an important role to play in the future of food if we are to make it more sustainable and accessible. I'm currently conducting research to pinpoint challenge areas for emerging brands in an effort to share data with local and regional retailers to create positive change.

The methodology I am using is Design Thinking, an empathy-first approach to business development that prioritizes LITTLE DATA to fuel creativity in order to solve real problems for real people.

Owner / Design Thinker

Independent Consultant

In this role, I worked alongside organizations to execute system and process improvements including CRM transfers, process manual creation and revision, and interdepartmental process improvement and streamlining. I have created and executed staff training sessions to onboard staff to new tools, developed communication strategy and rollout plans alongside teams, and conducted organizational leader coaching to identify areas of growth and to conduct root cause analysis.

Process Consultant

Greater Austin Dance Academy

I began my tenure with basic email marketing responsibilities that grew into the opportunity to overhaul and manage the communications strategy along the studio owner, as well as manage the customer service team in executing communications initiatives on a day-to-day basis. I conducted training for the team, as well as assigned projects to team members.

Over the course of my time at GADA, I refined my skills in designing, writing, and executing communication initiatives in service of our 600+ academy families, including email communications, website updates, and managing the GADA mobile app.

I improved our customer service potential exponentially through the creation of custom reporting tools that allowed us to track and follow up on key client details over the course of each academy season.

Communications Manager

Fields Texas Ltd

In this role, I managed a wide range of responsibilities including paying bills, managing the housekeeper, being the main point of contact for vendors and repairmen within the home, tending to the children's daily after school activities, and planning events and dinner parties for the estate owners in this dual-CEO household.

Household Manager

In this position I was responsible for processing over $1 million in construction interior invoices annually. Over the course of my time in this position, I developed an excel-based algorithm that increased my efficiency by 40%, allowing me to expand my role to take on additional responsibilities including developing a financial reconciliation tool. Upon successfully developing this tool, I executed department-wide training to use this tool in order to identify future cost-saving opportunities among the interior purchasing team.

Also in this role, I was given day-to-day oversight responsibilities for our Construction Intern, who was tasked with learning how to code invoices alongside myself. I managed their workload, provided feedback, and conducted ongoing training over the course of several months.

North America Construction Department

In this role, I managed the front desk of the North America H&M Headquarters including answering phones, greeting a high volume of guests, managing all conference room bookings, catering for meetings, as well as managing the receptionist team. I acted as executive assistant to the North America CEO and assisted him with ad hoc responsibilities including planning and executing quarterly all-day staff meetings in our 250 person office. I was also responsible for managing our consumables budget and supplies ordering. I created a receptionist job manual and assisted with the hiring process when recruiting additional members of the team.

Receptionist / Office Manager / Executive Assistant

In this role, I was granted increased responsibility as I proved myself to be trustworthy and committed to the organization's success. I was selected to participate in a store opening where I traveled to the new store site for several weeks and participated in merchandising tasks to prepare the store for opening day.

Lupus Foundation of America, Inc.

1. Created marketing collateral to promote our chapter's fundraising events.
2. Assisted Events Coordinator with all aspects of planning and executing fundraising events.

Marketing and Administrative Assistant

Passport Health

1. Worked with the owner to establish a plan for marketing activities and flow.
2. Sought out and managed relationships with corporate clients in the B2B portion of the business.
3. Managed event logistics including following through on individual contracts.

Marketing Assistant

Struers A/S

1. Created, executed, and reported on marketing activities alongside the marketing manager ranging from direct mail to webinars to press releases and other activities.
2. Created videos to be used for product demonstrations and education in Materialographic industry.
3. Learned how to query the CRM to build reports for the sales team.

Marketing Intern

I deeply admire CPG founders for the passion, dedication, and love they bring to their products. But, let's be real - this is a TOUGH business and hearing so many "no's" can be discouraging when you're first coming to market. 

As a problem-solver, I always want to know "why?". Over the past years I've been honing my research skills through education and experience in order to position myself to support CPG founders in their journey. 

"Why?" is a beautiful and scary question to ask. Let's make it manageable and actionable.
