As a freelance journalist, I mostly work for one of the best-known nationwide German TV news programmes and for a regional daily TV magazine. In recent years I wrote features about politics and society in East Germany for a news agency. I love stories with a twist: So I met a German woman who revolutionised sex life in Fidel Castros Cuba and British motor enthusiasts who adore East German Trabant cars. I'm always interested in current affairs and culture of Middle and Eastern European countries, e.g. Czech Republic, Poland or Serbia. Seeing the world from another one’s point of view is one of the most interesting and thrilling chances you have as a journalist. My wish is to strengthen respect and understanding for people who think and live differently. I would like to take part in projects supporting these goals, as well as giving professional know-how to other journalists.
