With 20 years of work experience as a freelance journalist for television and news agencies, storytelling is not just a job for me - it's a passion. I excel in crafting compelling narratives, utilizing impactful visual language and finding the perfect protagonists to bring a story to life. Grown up in East Germany, I have a deep understanding of what have shaped the society there. This unique perspective allows me to delve deeper into stories that matter, providing a nuanced and insightful approach. I also share my knowledge as a journalism lecturer and encouraging journalism newbies as a mentee. For the European-wide non-profit initative "Lie Detectors" I'm visiting school classes to help teens and teachers to tell news facts from news fakes.
