My mission is to deliver the training your business needs, while simultaneously giving your people what they want, through a great experience in which they recognise and achieve their potential, both in and out of work. I love training. I thrive on making a difference to businesses and their people. This isn’t the floaty skirts, incense burning, and abstract positive-thinking type of wellbeing. It is evidence-based, relatable, inclusive, and potentially game-changing. The content and delivery provide a balance of enough mental stretch to make a difference, without intimidating those who aren’t engaged in the topics already. This is all achieved by creating a training environment which is a relaxed, brave space, for exploration of barriers, and opportunities for growth. I founded Wellbeing Training Solutions in 2016, to support businesses to get the very best they can from their people. Every person in a business has untapped potential, and my goal is to unleash that. If you change your people, for the better, from the inside out, you can change businesses, for the better, from the inside out. Change does not need to be dramatic; it can be subtle and capitalise on marginal gains and discretionary effort. That provides a win for everyone and often with very limited disruption. It’s also a great deal more economical than unnecessary recruitment and poor retention levels. Good training makes great business sense and happier, healthier staff make a motivated and engaged workforce with lower absenteeism and greater loyalty. A new generation of workers are also expecting this from their employers and there are reputational implications too. Coming from a background in business, education, and health, I saw firsthand how many people were limited in their work and life, by beliefs about what is possible for them, and by a lack of skills to change their situations. Put simply, they don’t know what they don’t know, so pulling yourself up by your bootstraps is not an option for many. Very small changes in perspective and skill can change people’s life experiences, and if that is delivered to a group of people who work together, they can share a new understanding and commitment to really make an impact. While courses may have clear, deliverable, business objectives, they are even more impactful if they also have positive outcomes for individuals, enabling them to think, feel and behave with greater impact, purpose and intention. My business is to help your business thrive, through upskilling your people to live and work better.
