ADAPTABILITY IS MY MIDDLE NAME As a long-time expat in Turkey, I navigated massive social, economic, and political turbulence daily—uncertainty shaded every part of my life. So now, I eat adventure for breakfast. (What, you've never heard of Adventure-Os?) I don't really do "routine." I relish having challenges thrown at me. I love learning new things. The way I approach the world has served me well in 15+ years of research and 13+ years of leading or managing teams. And now, I've finally found my “just right” calling as a UX researcher. I'm fascinated by the way we use—and abuse—technology and how devices and media are now intertwined with our daily routines. I want to be involved—from the ground up—in decisions about where technology will take us tomorrow. I SEEK PROJECTS THAT PROMISE WIDESPREAD IMPACT I like to explore, tinker, and bend things around to re-imagine them as something different. I see possibility in almost everything and make connections that others may not. But what I love most about any job? Connecting to other people and understanding them deeply—whether it's their greatest struggle or why they scoop their ice cream across instead of down.
