Coordinating the annual internship programme for the Open Mainframe Project. Talented students from universities around the world are recruited to work on software projects for Linux running on s390x architecture. Working remotely students and mentors work together on a challenging real world problem. These 12 week projects end with interns completed work added to the software eco-system. They final present on their contribution and experiences at a professional conference. In my role as coordinator recruit the students and mentors, then support them through the process of successfully achieving their goals.
