Xapo is a financial/bitcoin wallet, known worldwide for it’s cold storage vault and a bitcoin-based debit card. We’re progressively leading towards being a complete global bank.

Technologies/Tools: Python(2.7 and 3.6), Flask, Javascript, React, MySQL, AWS, Git, Docker, and more.

- Part of a global team in extensive development of security, fraud prevention/detection(and more) features for the backend.
- Largely contributed in revamping the architecture of the entire backend.
- Owned and developed many features from scratch to deployment, including tech design, implementation, testing(unit, integration and staging) and deployment.
- Actively participated(and enjoyed doing so) in design discussions, code reviews and debugging.
- Build up several APIs, complying with and adhering to pragmatic RESTful practices.
- Worked with different internal teams in a microservices architecture for certain integrations. Also, to integrate a couple of external services into our backend.
- Developed a server-less data pipeline to gather information from various different services to be collected into AWS Redshift, which could further be connected to different visualization tools.
- Owned staging and production deployments, including migrations(when required).
- Worked with team members of own and different teams over various different time zones and cultures.
- Received appreciation from manager on various features for work, proactiveness and ownership.

Backend Developer - Security and Risk

Founded in 2013, GrabOn has been and continues to be the fastest growing startup in India’s Swarming couponing space. With more than 6.5 million visits each month, and ranked 180th on Alexa, GrabOn is the largest couponing company in India. 
My work focussed on a product called BestPriceOn, which is a price comparison engine.

Technologies/Tools: Python, Flask, MongoDB, ORM, Github, AWS

- Initially joined as a software developer, but took lead of the dev team within 6 months, working with a team of 3 devs.
- Built APIs and features in the backend using Flask and MongoDB(primary db).
- Architected and created an engine, from scratch, which had the power to schedule and scrap various e-commerce websites, and update accordingly in the DB.
- Took complete ownership of bringing in best practices in the team including code reviews, CI/CD pipeline, streamlining deployments, design discussions and extensive use of version control.
- Appreciated by CEO for proactiveness.
