Built out the marketing function both tactically and strategically to improve awareness of the brand in a crowded executive search space and accelerate inbound pipeline. Focus areas include coordinated demand gen, content, and event marketing strategies, ongoing messaging and positioning refinement, and an emphasis on product marketing as the platform evolves.

Major initiatives include the creation of a daily podcast with 200 episodes designed to target our ICP, including content amplification across owned, paid, and earned channels and influencing $200k in pipeline. We also launched paid advertising  efforts to engage warm leads, including event contacts, target prospect accounts, and key partners, influencing more than $1M in our pipeline.

Actively influence initiatives across the business, including pricing and packing, product development, customer experience, and sales strategies, through close relationships with all members of the executive team and individual team members across a fully remote organization.

Indy Marketers

Co-founder of Indy Marketers, an organization to bring together Indy-based marketers to create community, elevate local talent, and share experiences.

Developed and executed overall marketing and demand generation strategy, primarily targeting partners to drive pipeline and bookings. Efforts include a comprehensive content strategy, targeted virtual and in-person event strategy, and digital marketing strategy including email marketing, digital advertising, and website development.

Despite significant marketing strategy pivots in 2020 due to Covid, marketing generated $2.8M in bookings and $7.5M in pipeline from direct leads and influenced $24M in bookings and $84M in pipeline. In 2021, marketing contributed even more to bookings and pipeline, influencing $52M in bookings and $118M in pipeline.

Launched Ultraviolet, a two-day virtual conference including more than 30 sessions, surpassing our registration goal by 200%, achieving 80% attendance over the course of the event, influencing $3.7M in pipeline, and directly generating $1M in opportunities within the first month following the event. The event eventually influenced over $10M in pipeline and $6M in bookings. 

Executed a comprehensive communication strategy in alignment with Lev’s acquisition by Cognizant in March 2020, including press releases, internal announcement and informational emails, customer and partner automated communications and messaging direction, and social media promotion both
independently as Lev and with multiple Cognizant teams.

Led the development and rollout of an initiative to segment Lev’s customers in order to drive customer success and improve alignment between Lev, Salesforce and Cognizant, partnering closely with all members of the executive team to manage processes, internal communications, and external rollout.

Quick wins in the first six months included generating $1.5M in bookings from the launch of a Contact Us form, increasing Salesforce AE engagement by 42%, doubling our content production year over year, and building out a marketing operations framework to measure business impact.

Developed innovative campaigns to engage our primary partner, Salesforce, including a brand awareness direct mail campaign that influenced more than $61M in pipeline and a thought-leadership driven webinar series that influenced more than $12M in pipeline.

Return Path

Expanded our brand and digital team reach into customer and partner marketing.

Supported customer and partner marketing efforts including overall strategy, development of new initiatives, and collaboration with the Customer Service and Partner organizations within Return Path. 

Primary owner of the evaluation, selection, implementation, and ongoing relationship with vendors of Return Path’s marketing stack, including marketing automation, website hosting, SEO optimization, video hosting, email signature marketing, and conversational marketing platforms.

Owner of overall strategy and execution of Return Path’s global brand and digital marketing efforts including management of multiple website properties, social media strategy, email marketing program, digital advertising approach, corporate messaging, and continuous brand evolution and refinement, accounting for 80% of marketing’s lead generation and 50% of bookings each year.

Led two major re-launches of our corporate website in five languages – English, French, German, Spanish, and Portuguese – which included design overhauls, content reorganization, and functionality enhancements. These resulted in an 43% increase in users and 22% increase in pageviews since 2016.

Led the development of a series of email marketing themed video games designed for lead generation and customer engagement, which influenced $18M in pipe generation and $7.7M in revenue.

Provided direct support for the entire C-Suite to execute the annual company meeting. Support included producing an event with 250 in-person attendees and 200 virtual attendees, working directly with the CEO to craft messaging, and overseeing content and design support for all executives.

Director, Brand & Digital Marketing

Collaborated closely with other marketing leaders, including content, product, and field marketers to consistently execute an integrated marketing approach driven by content and product launches and supported by events, digital experiences, and advertising.

Led the evolution of Return Path’s corporate messaging in alignment with a company-wide shift from three lines of business to one, collaborating closely with our CMO and CEO to refine the language and leading the initiative to launch the new messaging both internally and externally. 

Developed an annual global marketing calendar to drive alignment across a marketing organization of 40+ marketers, promote collaboration across individual marketing functions, and maximize the impact of individual campaigns.

Oversaw the execution of Return Path’s rebrand in 2015, including overhauling all sales collateral, digital properties, marketing assets, and legacy materials, resulting in a 10% increase in brand recognition in the first year.
