Hi! Thanks for looking at my profile.😀 I talk about things not many people like to talk about. I believe the world of work benefits from authenticity, honesty and integrity. I have seen and experienced a wide variety of people, behaviours, skills and mistakes in my 20+ years of working life throughout more than 25 jobs. Now, aside from my normal job, I talk about these things and try to highlight the good and the bad, with my particular style of writing. I’m a “Yellow” - ie a high energy, personable, gregarious individual. I have a compassionate, driven growth mindset. I love working with people, in teams and providing great service to my clients. I may not be a genius, but I am likely the most consistent and approachable person you’ll meet today. I have a broad business background including -18 years in maritime litigation, shipping and logistics. -16 as a qualified Solicitor Advocate. -Claims handling & triage of claims. -Project management & case supervision. -Business Development & Marketing. -General Management (offices, teams, trainees). -Mentoring & Coaching. -Training (legal, personal development, motivational). I get excited by new projects, creativity and problem solving - especially when these involve collaboration, people, and teamwork. In my spare time, I compete in surfing, sailing and running competitions whilst trying to restore old cars. I sometimes surf at night and I’ve won several night-running races on Dartmoor and on the SWCP. I am a qualified SLSGB beach lifeguard & open water swimming first responder. I am a RYA Yachtmaster (Theory) I am a qualified 'New Entrant' commercial fisherman. I teach sailing and coach surfing to intermediate levels and beyond. I volunteer for The Wave Project.
