If I had to do SEO from scratch, here’s what I would do (step-by-step)

1. Competitor Analysis 

I’d go through all the competitors that are acing organic growth and extract their keywords + backlinks. 

This would give me a clear picture of where does the website I’m working on stand amongst competitors. 

2. Website Audit

I’ll use premium tools to run an audit of the website and identify all the technical issues and on-page opportunities we can capture. 

I’ll create a report and start working on each aspect alongside other SEO tasks🌟

3. Keyword research 

I’ll use Ahrefs to identify what long-tail keywords are getting traction. 

Ignoring the KD as usual (since it’s useless :p), I will find the real-time competition of every keyword and create 15-20 clusters accordingly.

This is the most important part of the entire SEO strategy and helps me rank websites on the 1st page within just a couple of weeks🤯

4. Optimize the website 

First thing’s first, I’ll optimize all the service pages and homepage of the website with relevant clusters. 

This means reworking on the copy and meta tags to integrate the primary keyword and secondary kws naturally :)

5. Start creating blogs

I will create a content calendar covering the website audit deliverables and blog deadlines for each cluster. 

I’d get started with publishing one blog weekly. 

6. Track performance 

I know weekly reports sound too soon but I’m kinda obsessed when it comes to knowing how everything is performing from day 1 itself 💀

I’d monitor organic website visitors, website average position, keywords the blogs are ranking for and other crucial metrics. 

People overcomplicate SEO but it’s really simple once broken down into steps with a result-guaranteed strategy :D

I ignore very competitive keywords. 

There's a way to manually find the competition of each keyword in real-time (KD is NOT your competition)💀

You won’t believe how many blogs I’ve ranked by simply including each keyword once or twice 👀
