Håkan has some 35 years experience from financial markets where he worked with research in the four Nordic markets (Sweden, Norway, Finland and Denmark), connecting with clients mainly in the UK and the US, first as a broker, later as an analyst and fund manager of a low risk hedge fund, Adrigo. He has been instrumental of several start-ups as founder or co-founder and continues to be entrepreneurial at heart. Based in Cape Town since 2020 he is looking for investment opportunities in start-ups offering (a) potential to scale, (b) strong leadership, (c) limited working capital needs, (d) high barriers to entry and (e) low balance sheet risks. Avoiding things which are difficult to understand, such as high risk biotech and crypto/NFT.
