I’ve spoken on hundreds of stages, delivered thousands of seminars, taught at the college level, and coached countless individuals over the years.

I grew up in low-income housing in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia Canada. I was headed down the wrong path and never imagined I’d have the opportunities I do today.

The Dartmouth Boys & Girls Club was more than just a building.
It was a 𝑠𝑎𝑓𝑒 ℎ𝑎𝑣𝑒𝑛.

It was where I learned confidence, communication, and leadership.

It was this organization—and to my late grandmother, Mrs. Monica Stone—two powerful forces that shaped my life and my mission to serve others.

Do it from the heart, not for the headlines.”
That’s one of the most powerful lessons I learned from two of the greatest influences in my life—my grandmother and my mentor Louis March. Both are no longer with us, but their wisdom lives on in me every day.

They taught me to help others not for recognition, but because you genuinely want to see people rise.

I’ve never been one to chase accolades or try to stand above others. I’ve been blessed with mentors, family, and friends who poured into me—and I’ve made it my mission to pay it forward and lift others as I climb.

So when I was approached about this article written about me today, I was humbled.
