I'm a Canadian CPA, CFA Charterholder, and a Chartered Accountant (India), with more than a decade's experience spanning equity research and corporate finance. I started my career in finance in 2010, joining EID Parry's internal audit department. After almost a year, I moved to the financial reporting function and independently handled the assignments for FY13. This involved the reporting of standalone and consolidated financial statements - for reporting to the Board, shareholders and stock exchanges. The company recognized my efforts by conferring the CFO's cash award. Enrolling in the CFA Program in 2012 gave me insights into the capital markets. I completed the CFA Program in 2015, and have been a CFA Charterholder since 2016. Joining CRISIL in 2014 gave me the opportunity to learn about investing. As an equity research associate in the Asian financials team, I covered equities of Hong Kong banks for four years, supporting a top global investment bank on the sell-side. Afterwards, I had brief stints in other roles in the same company. I joined OBSI in 2021. This experience continues to give me the opportunity to analyze companies, while also learning about other financial products and regulations in the Canadian market. To sum it up - in the initial three years of my career, I was preparing financial statements, while in the next nine, I've been analyzing them. I believe that this gives me the ability to look at both sides of the same coin, and understand what drives them.
