Data analytics isn't all dashboards and insights

You ever open an Excel sheet from 2017… and immediately regret your life choices?

 • Every cell has a different font
 • The formulas reference a tab called “DO NOT DELETE”

I think my resume just got friend-zoned by the ATS

No rejection
No feedback
Just a "Thanks for applying!"

Did I get scammed? Idk..

I used their keywords
Matched the job title
Even sacrificed a goat to the PDF gods

Still nothing


ATS breaks if you use two columns
It panics if your resume has icons
It gets confused when you list more than one job per year
It thinks "project experience" is a red flag
And if you use a custom font? Game over

You’re not doing it wrong
It’s just a broken system designed to scan resumes like a microwave scans burritos

So don’t overthink it

Yes, tailor your resume
Yes, play the game
But don’t forget, most people get hired because they’re visible

P.S. Which type of job seeker are/were you?

I never tracked my applications when I started

Until I got a call and had no idea who was on the other side

I didn’t know the responsibilities
I didn’t know the job description
I didn’t know the salary range

So when I got the call…
