Ph.D. candidate in industrial-organizational psychology at North Carolina State University with research foci in nature contact and biophilic workplace design, employee trust, cutting-edge technology, and employee well-being. 𝗠𝗮𝗷𝗼𝗿 𝗚𝗼𝗮𝗹: Right now, I am completing my dissertation and actively seeking employment for the Fall 2025 semester as an assistant professor in OB/HR/IO, where I will continue to conduct research, improve my teaching skills, and interact with a diverse community of students, scholars, and practitioners. 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗰𝗵: My research broadly focuses on employee well-being and creating workplaces that contribute to, rather than detract from, the health, well-being, and resilience of their occupants. Within this overarching framework, my research has touched on many concepts, including technology in the workplace, trust and employee behaviors, effective organizational message framing in times of flux and dynamism, and the positive effects of nature contact and biophilic design on employees and organizations. 𝗧𝗲𝗮𝗰𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴: As an instructor, I strive to create an energetic, supportive, and engaging learning environment that imparts knowledge, actively excites students, and prepares them for their future lives and careers. The fundamental principle that underlies my teaching philosophy is, “If you do a job, do it right.” The concept of doing the job right has meant many things throughout my experience teaching, including creating memorable and impactful classroom experiences, ensuring the real-world transferability of course content, and creating an environment in which students feel comfortable, supported, and empowered to engage and excel both professionally and personally.
