I have worked for The UK Holiday Group for over 16 years, I am responsible for all the creative across four major tour operating brands. I also source and purchase all of the print that we require, whether that be for our main brochure publications, a creative mail piece or luggage labels and coach livery. The demands of the business are vast and I work to some very tight deadlines to ensure that every stage of a major campaign can be executed and signed off in a punctual manner.

I work across both on and offline channels creating whatever asset is required, whether it be a new brochure design, website visuals, social campaigns or animations. What is key to all of this is brand integrity and as such I am the brand manager and charged with making sure that everything we put out complies to strict brand guidelines.

Working within a small team we all utilise our core strengths to bring different skill sets to the table, we work hard and have fun doing that. A sense of humour, especially when under pressure, is essential - as is the ability to make a good cup of tea or coffee!

I worked within a team of highly skilled and experienced designers we created top quality brochures for the property market. Whether it was a residential or commercial, mansion house, estate or family home we did it all. From large developments to bespoke high end brochures which uniquely reflected individual homes we created artwork to suit all requirements. We had litho and digital print and also offered a web to print service. I was also the account manager for the new 'All in One' service which was being implemented at the time of my arrival, taking bookings and insuring the delivery of that service. I talked to our clients daily ensuring every element of their job was on track and completed to our very exacting standards, personal service is key to customer satisfaction.

CAPEZIO Ballet Makers Europe Ltd

I worked for Capezio as Graphic Designer covering the needs of the European arm of the business. The vast majority of the work I produced was for digital & online, this included e-blasts, tiles for social and online advertising, I created all the artwork and scheduled all the wholesale & retail via our online platform 'Salesforce'. Of course I also dealt with print and I was responsible for our 164pp yearly brochure, our shop window to the trade with huge volume of dancewear products. Having a keen, creative eye was key to the role as was being able to visualise and come up with new and innovative ideas as to how best to market ourselves in an increasingly competitive arena.

Senior European Graphic Designer

The UK Holiday Group

I was responsible for all the graphic design and print buying requirements across the whole group, covering five brands. I produced four holiday brochures per year from 32pp up to 164pp and created and controlled the online digital editions of those brochures. On top of this I created and purchased all other requirements which could include mailings, promotional items, signage, coach livery, woven ties, plastic membership cards, luggage labels and general stationery. I controlled and manage every single job, sometimes working to very tight deadlines - it was an incredibly varied and demanding role but one which I enjoyed.

DSD Litho Printers

Main duties included designing 32pp brochures, mailers, booklets, fliers, menus, stationery - talking directly to the clients and working jobs up from initial brief to the final printed product. I focused much more on the creative side and the work was varied from day to day. I also learned how to make litho plates and enjoyed the challenges of the role.

East Coast Plastics

Mainly producing screen print artwork for PVC based products such as promotional items and cheque book wallets etc. It was a fast paced environment where being organised was key - I was one of three staff running the office side of things.

Mac Artworker

My first entry into the field of graphic design, I initially trained in a darkroom using a camera to produce film artwork for screen printed products. I then moved on to the mac side of things, training on the job and in my own time during evenings and never looked back. The company produced a wealth of promotional products, in the main I worked on mouse mats, wrist rests, desk mats etc. Artwork on the whole was customer supplied which then needed re-working to suit the printing method but there was also the opportunity for some creative artwork.

A versatile and accomplished graphic designer in both print and digital with over 25 years experience working In-house on projects both large and small. Confident in taking creative work from initial brief all the way through to the end product dealing with internal and external stakeholders with care and above all professionalism. Honesty and integrity are key to my work ethic, whether you need some animation, website layout, social content which is going to engage an audience or a high end printed brochure, I have the skills to bring your ideas to life. I also have a strong background in buying print and understand the processes and finishes involved to make a printed piece of work stand out. I love my craft and I want that to resonate in every piece of work that I produce.
