Taaleem Group since Aug 2008. I have worked in different roles as outlined.
As part of Taaleem IT strategic plan to move forward with Apple/Mac Platform. I was the lead in the entire Project to make sure the transition from Windows to Mac was done in a phased manner. This required initially to address some key challenges as given below- 
•	To embrace new technology and learn to adapt and implement.
•	To manage a mixed mode of Windows and Mac clients.
•	To train staff and students to use Macs.
•	Develop systems and processes to unify the administration of Apple technology campus-wide.
•	Establish, implement and maintain a campus-wide standard for a common Apple desktop configuration and imaging.
•	Direct the evaluation and acquisition of software titles (applications and programs) used on Apple computers in both administrative and academic settings.
•	To maintain and manage all Apple devices (iMacs, MacBooks, iPads & Mac Mini) and provide cost-effective solutions for remote management, asset mgmt., software deployment & imaging tools.

Steps undertaken/action performed –
•	Embraced & learned open source tools like (Munki, Imagr) for deploying and managing Macs. 
•	Built Imaging + deployment workflow for OSX machines using Imagr tool. Which fully automates – restoring of images, run first boot scripts, enrolling with Munki for software deployment.
•	Setup Apple Caching Servers, which significantly reduced bandwidth utilization across the campus.
•	Setup Munkireport - a web reporting client for Munki, which gives a quick overview of devices across the fleet. Get reports on many features (hardware types, disk usage, etc)
•	Remotely assist staff and students using Apple Remote Desktop for resolving any technical issues & facilitate any teaching needs.
•	MDM Evaluation – Evaluated different MDM solutions such as FileWave, JAMF Pro and LightSpeed and proposed an effective solution to manage all OSX/iOS devices.

Apple Systems Admin/ IT Infrastructure Support

Uptown Primary School (Taaleem)

•	Maintain & Manage the whole I.T requirements for the Primary School.
•	As part of my additional role as Data Officer. I was responsible for maintaining and managing the school MIS system (Rediker Software) which involved
	Input of new students for an academic year.
	Maintenance of student’s data.
	Allocation of students to teachers and subjects.
	Timetabling and scheduling assistance.
	Preparation of Reports.
	Reports printing and editing (2 times a year).
	Producing various data reports as required for School Inspection/Data Analysis.
•	Migration of existing MIS(Rediker) to the new system (3sys from WCBS) which involved
	Exporting of data from Rediker & input the migration templates provided by 3sys for importing Staff/Student/HR/Subject related information.
	Attended 3 days full training to learn a new system and train staff accordingly. 
	Setup/Design school reports for 2 semesters using Report builder.
	Preparation of reports/printing.

Network Administrator/ Data Officer

Uptown High School (Beacon Education)

•	Played a stellar role in designing and deploying IT infrastructure for new campus (Uptown High School) and facilitated teaching needs.
•	Oversee Network implementation of Routers/Switches & structured cabling.
•	Setup & managed 3 HP Servers acting as Domain Controller, Application and File/Print Server.
•	Setup ISA 2000/2006 Firewall & web-filtering to enable safe internet access within school campus.
•	Setup Destiny Library system and perform daily backups and periodic upgrades.
•	Coordinate with Database Manager who was responsible for managing MIS (Rediker Software). Assist with School Reports generation, generate various reports & queries and perform backups and software upgrades.
•	Performed day-to-day administration functions utilizing Active Directory to facilitate creating of users & groups, password resets, facilitate email accounts, address log-in issues & manage group policies.
•	Provided friendly and efficient technical support, taking personal ownership of individual issues for all levels of employees with skill sets ranging from novice to power-pc users.
•	Worked closely with IT Line Manager to ensure smooth functioning of IT services and keeping in-line with IT policies and procedures.
•	Communicated with all levels of authority on matters related to technical and non-technical issues through the effective use of interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
•	Recommended, evaluated and purchased IT assets.
