ESTIEM LG BRUSSELS

The goal of ESTIEM is to establish and foster relations between industrial engineering and management students across Europe and to support them in their personal and professional development. Currently the ESTIEM network is represented in 31 European countries and consists of 81 local university organizations called Local Groups. The ESTIEM network reaches out to over 60 000 industrial engineering and management students.
Participating in the growth of this organization is one of my best experiences. 
I have started this journey by directly proposing myself as a project manager. I was young, curious and quiet afraid but the outcome of this event was really surprising. I love being in the rush, finding quick solutions. As a result, I have started to travel the whole Europe and I have created indestructible links with awesome people. 
After each of my travels, I wanted to be more involved in the organization of my local group. 
Then, I became President and Local Responsible of the Local Group Brussels. 
Together with my team, we have created 7 events of one week each. 
During my presidency I have learn a lot of interesting skills. How to manage a team, how to deal with guest, budgets, volunteers, recruitment and recruits, partners and sponsors. 
This experience was a full-time job and cost me a year but it was worth it. It have learned a lot about my dream job : I am blooming when I am a project manager.

During this weekend I have created deep links with interesting persons. 
I had the opportunity to pitch an idea related to media. I went to final thanks to this last-minute solution that I had 15 minutes before the end of the pitch step. 
Unfortunately, the team that I've managed during the event finished 4th, we missed the podium. 
I was astonished to discover that a startup was created in San Fransisco that had the exact same idea we have had. This startup worth 1.2 million dollars. 
This experience helped me to understand that I might be Business-savvy. But I that time I had a lack  of experience that my beloved university is solving.

Negotiation of exclusivity contracts. 
When I was 20 years old, my father came back from London with an interesting gadget. I was so amazed by the product that I have tried to buy an other one online. Mission Impossible. No shipping available in my country. I was upset since I wanted to offer it to my girlfriend. 
That problem lead me to the solution, create a legal entity that can concludes contracts with the producer in China. 
A lot of people asked me why the name of my first startup is Pistache. The answer is simple : It is the  name of my dog ! 
Since this day, I have never stopped to be an entrepreneur. And most important : Never stop to learn from your past mistakes.

4uCampus

4uCampus sells magazines subscriptions to students. 
Being a saler for 4uCampus was the most lucrative student job I ever had. 
I have discovered how persuasive I was when I trusted in a product. 
I have quitted this job because I was not satisfied by the organization. And even if I was really well payed, this kind of job is not fitting my desires.
