How to spot a scammer on #linkedin. 

There is a woman named Codie A. Sanchez. She had a very very bad hot take on creating fake “interviews” to steal the ideas of smart people. 

Many of us said “nope!” And “barf!”

I noted that she had 130k followers. But then I got curious. Who are these followers? 

I went to her page. Now she has 230k followers! It’s a miracle. 

And…this is when you get to see how it is obvious beyond a shadow of a doubt that she is purchasing followers and is indeed (or could be), in my pretty darn well informed opinion, a scam artist. 

LinkedIn is a spiderweb. It shows your connections, their connections, and their connections. 

This video will walk you through Ms. Sanchez’s fantasy LinkedIn audience. 

1) I went to her profile and selected people I knew who followed her/connected to her. Both 1st and second connections. I chose Los Angeles, Seattle and California in general. 

Not a super long list…maybe a dozen?

Especially considering that if you just search just my 1st and 2nd connections in these locations & you get

The followers she has are purchased. 

Why? Who knows. Maybe doing the hard work of earning it is too much actual hard work.
