Hello Switzerland

Hello Switzerland is the largest expat community in Switzerland. I create, edit and proofread all content distributed on Hello Switzerland channels - website, newsletter, print magazine, and Facebook community.

In 2015 my family and I decided to move to Switzerland in search for new career opportunities. Our second child was born in 2016 and between settling in and changing diapers, almost 3 years flew by.

Mappers

Mappers is a research agency started in 2002 by two outstanding researchers. I was the third person on board. Together with the agency owners, I contributed to increasing the size and turnover of the company in a few years. By 2006, the agency counted 12 more employees and a turnover of 500,000EUR (the qualitative department was responsible for two thirds of the revenue). 

My department provided a thorough supervision of the entire research process, exquisite quality reports with actionable insights and strategic recommendations. 

As a Senior Qualitative Researcher, my job meant taking a research project from conception to completion. More specifically, these were my tasks: propose a methodology and design a budget for each project, present our proposal to clients, set criteria for respondent recruitment and recruitment filters/ questionnaire, be involved in participant selection together with the field team, moderate the interviews/ focus groups, analyse the results, craft a visual report with strategic recommendations and present it to our clients. I moderated interviews and focus groups both off and online, on a wide variety of topics, both with B2B and B2C participants. 

My responsibilities also involved hiring and mentoring junior researchers, managing the internal field team, and providing Qual insights for the Quant team.

Simultaneous and written translations of focus groups and interviews, from Romanian into English or French. I also edited and proofread reports written in Romanian, English and French.

Handled translations, internal communication and communication with foreign counterparts of the Transport Ministry, as well as event organisation.
