I am a mental health nurse with broad ranging experience across acute adult inpatient settings, older persons, learning disabilities, both men and women with personality disorders, psychosis, acquired brain injuries and also forensic service users. I work in a flexible and person centred manner to empower those I care for to make informed choices in their recovery. Together, we collaboratively solve problems; create sometimes complex care plans and contracts; and creatively explore methods of bettering their wellbeing. This year, I have begun my training as a psychotherapist at the University of Exeter, where I will be initially training in CBT, and specialising in working with people with personality disorders.
