Hi, my name is Ishbel, and I'm obsessed with social media. I love finding the nuggets of data and information in social media and marketing that lead to 'ah-ha!' moments, creating insights and helping build a better social media output. As the Head of Research and Insights at Hydrogen, I lead a team that helps clients understand and optimise their social media performance. With over 10 years of experience in social media marketing and strategy, I have a passion for delivering data-driven insights and recommendations that drive results and growth. I personally believe that the role of a social media manager shouldn't end when they hit 'post': if you don't track and analyse to see how content performs, you can never grow. I am also a Chartered Marketer with the CIM, where I serve as a board member and Communications Ambassador for Scotland. In this role, I collaborate with the Vice Chair to raise awareness and engagement with the Chartered Institute of Marketers in Scotland. I have been recognized as the CIM Communications Ambassador of the Year in 2021 and 2023 for my work in this area.
