I’ve helped CEOs close $1M-$6M deals in industries I knew nothing about. No technical background. No subject expertise. 

Because I understand what actually makes buyers move.

And most companies selling “complex” solutions are on the wrong side of it.

A client of mine learned this the expensive way. 

He lost two mandates worth €4.2M to a larger firm in the UK.

He had the stronger team. Better process. Better numbers. 

The buyer still chose the “established” firm. 

Why? No exec signing a $1M decision wants to be blamed for picking the “new disruptive” company if something blows up later. 

They want certainty that you’ll defend their reputation. 

And my client’s posts…never gave them that.

For two years, he shared industry commentary & leadership reflections on LinkedIn. 

Some of it went viral. 
Not one serious deal came from it.

Your content needs to do one thing well.

Make the buyer think, “wait, are we actually mishandling this?”

When that brings revenue, the reaction I get is always: 

“We’ve been in this industry for two decades. We didn't realize we could close this level of deals.” 

That’s the whole point. 

I may not know every technical layer of your industry. But I know how to identify:

• buyers with real money on the line 
• risks they’re currently underestimating 
• who they answer to if things blow up later

When you get precise on that, the right people don’t haggle. They wire $1M because every other option looks riskier.

Meanwhile, most CEOs keep posting crap like: 

“Here’s what we’re seeing in the market”
“Why you need to work us”
“We believe in transparency”

No wonder why: 

– Calls are long & hesitant.
– “Warm” prospects need weeks of education. 
– Buyers debate the process like they’re buying office furniture.

The problem isn’t effort. You avoid saying publicly: 

This is the risk you’re mishandling.
This is the cost of delaying.
This is how we fix it.
This is how fast.

A deeptech CEO told me: “Our buyers are sophisticated. They won’t respond to bold messaging.”

I challenged him to stick with the strategy. 

A founder sitting in his network for eight months messaged 48h after the post.

Not to learn more. To start.

He’d spent months DIY-ing the situation internally and didn’t want investors discovering the damage. 

One precise post woke him up and turned into a $40k engagement.

When someone reads your stuff and nods to the problem, that’s when they move toward your solution. 

Most founders avoid being that direct in public. 

My read is: you’re trying to look helpful while the bigger logos secure deals that should’ve gone to you.

Unless you make staying with them feel risky…

you’re not competing. 

You’re just another vendor.

You can’t outrun that by churning 3x posts or outsourcing sales to AI. I know that makes you feel productive but if you want $1M buyers, you need to read them better.

Or hire someone who can. 

Choose what actually scales your business. Not more of the buyers you already dread.
