I am a driven and ambitious learning & development professional. My experience may seem varied, but my roles have always connected to L&D, and have allowed me to scale up my experience over time. As an instructor and instructional designer, I have designed individual courses to meet rigorous standards, even achieving course certification from Quality Matters, a non-profit organization that certifies the design of online and blended courses. Scaling up from individual courses, I've also worked on a single program consisting of multiple courses. These are a little trickier as I've considered not only the design and learning goals for each individual course, but also how the courses fit together as a whole. And I've had to anticipate reporting needs, ensuring we are collecting the right data during the training to meet those needs. And finally, in my current role at Watershed, I have the opportunity to work with global organizations with multiple programs, multiple courses, multiple data sources, and thousands of employees. The scale of my work has increased tremendously, and so has the challenge of providing useful learning analytics for very demanding clients. I'm fortunate to be able to take on that challenge given my prior experience with individual courses and programs. In my role as a Director, I am now newly challenged with keeping my Data Engineers motivated and challenged in their careers, despite limited budgets and increasing workloads.
