Professional Profile I have worked in IT for over 20 years. For 9 years I worked for an IT solution provider in Machynlleth with customers UK wide. I was head hunted to become the Assistant IT Manager and later the ERP system implementation project manager for Floform Limited in Welshpool. The economic downturn in late 2008 unfortunately led to Floform going into administration. Turning a potential negative into a positive, I used the unplanned career break as a PPD opportunity to gain multiple certifications. I was then offered a contracting opportunity to become the Acting IT Manager for one of a group of companies and ERP implementation project manager for the group. After the completion of my contract, my combination of skills and certifications resulted in being offered the position of Technical Service Manager with a Microsoft Gold Partner in early 2011 where I helped develop a portfolio of products and services whilst running a team of support engineers driving up customer satisfaction and support first fix rate. In 2012, I became the ICT Manager at Concord College. The college has a great attitude towards the long-term development of ICT and took full advantage of my business-orientated experience to offer new solutions to the end users. The team I worked with is fantastic and between us, we had nearly 30 man years of experience at the college and we all continue to develop our skills through PPD. In September 2023 I joined the team at Secure Schools as a Cyber Security Auditor. They are deeply committed to delivering great quality, great value, and affordable cyber security services specifically to the education sector. This is a great honor and an opportunity to help as many schools as possible reduce their cyber security risk.
