👉 Do ICE Officers have legal immunity if they sh**t you in the face?

No. That is a crime. It is a violation of domestic and international law. It is not part of their "legal obligations and duties." 

Trump also didn't have the international legal right to kidnap Maduro.

Trump has also committed several domestic crimes and impeachable offenses. 

It is all illegal. 

BUT: 

👉 Do ICE Officers have practical immunity if they sh**t you in the face? 

Yes, under this administration. However, future administrations can and should prosecute everyone who committed crimes with impunity under this one. R*pe and m*rder will be prosecutable and under the statute of limitations the next time a Democrat is in office.

👉 Will a Democrat be in office again? 

I don't know. With such a masks off approach to ignoring the law and a masks on approach to auth*ritarianism, they may be gearing up to kill a fair midterm election and a fair election in 3 years. 

👉 What if a state prosecutes an ICE Officer for m*rder under state law? 

The case will immediately be moved to federal court and the officer will almost certainly claim federal immunity and get away with it. 

👉 Is it a felony to impede ICE by laying hands on them?

Yes. 

👉 Is photographing ICE or recording them a felony? 

No, in fact you have a right to do so. 

👉 Is it legal for ICE to be targeting a bunch of people who are legally here, including greencard holders, extended visas, people awaiting hearings, and U.S. citizens?

No.

👉 What practical legal recourse do you have if you are targeted?

None!

Now do you get how serious it is?

As a lawyer, I no longer felt I could keep me and my family safe in the U.S.

As a lawyer I know that though Stephen Miller is wildly wrong about the law, it doesn't practically matter.

I may have a law degree, but Stephen Miller has a lot of g*ns.

In a f*scist dict*t*rship, only the latter matters.

John Abernathy threw his camera to another photographer so it couldn't be destroyed. 

The photo was taken by Pierre Lavie. 

Abernathy threw his Leica and it landed with barely a scratch. 

Another photographer grabbed it along with his phone to track him down later. 

Abernathy was held face down with tear gas deployed in front of him and pepper sprayed directly into his eye. 

This is Minnesota. America. A country now threatening to INVADE OUR ALLIES. 

I cannot tell you how crazy this is.

This is Renee Good and ICE shot her in the face. 

She did not attack them.

She did not run.

She let other cars go by and gestured for ICE to too.

She was backing away. 

The officer could easily have gotten out of her path instead of stepping forward to shoot her. 

She was a white, conventionally attractive, U.S. citizen mother. 

Trump is still defending her killer. 

And even if none of those things were true, she did not deserve to die. 

👉 THIS WAS AN INTENTIONAL MURDEROUS ACT TO WARN OTHER WHITE WOMEN PROTESTING ICE THAT THEY CAN ALSO DIE AND LEAVE THEIR CHILDREN ORPHANS IF THEY DEFEND HUMAN RIGHTS. 

Here are some comments from other cases per a legal analyst, but these all ended badly for the victims because the U.S. has no justice system: 

Adams vs. Speers (2020): “Once Speers was no longer in the path of the vehicle, the justification for the use of deadly force ended.”

Orn vs. City of Tacoma (2019): “A reasonable jury could conclude that once Orn was no longer in the car’s trajectory, the threat of serious physical harm to him was eliminated.”

Cordova vs Aragon (2009): “Where the officer had moved out of the way of the oncoming vehicle, the use of deadly force was not justified.”

Villanueva vs. Cali (2021): “a reasonable jury could conclude that the Officers used excessive force, because they lacked an objectively reasonable basis to fear for their own safety, as they could simply have stepped back or to the side to avoid being injured.”

Trump is running a fascist dictatorship.

They are winning the war. 

I grew up in Silicon Valley and you don't even realize what these men are fighting for.

But it's an old story. 

Since the 1990s, Bay Area "libertarians" have wanted to rule the world. 

Here are some of the core beliefs seeded in the halls of the Googleplex and at 1 Hacker Way: 

👉 Some people are smarter and better than others.

👉 These people created the world's top tech companies.

👉 Laws shouldn't apply to them, because they are smarter and better than everyone else.

👉 Humanity should be grateful they take care of us, invent new tech, and govern the world.

👉 The U.S. government (and world governments) should get out of the way in the face of such genius.

👉 In fact, they should be the ones creating the laws that govern the world. 

👉 The people they hurt are less valuable than they are, so it doesn't matter.  

👉 Any other definition of success makes you a loser. 

👉 P.S. They hate women.

👉 P.P.S. They hate Black people.

Today, this technocracy has united with the old wealth defense/oil oligarchies and the behemoth monopolies they once claimed to hate.

Across the world, they support auth*ritarians they can bribe and control in a mutual circlejerk.

Everyone not in the room is, according to them, too stupid to be in the room. 

This is incredibly dangerous.

Because so many governments operate on fame, money, and power above all else, it is impossible for billions of people to compete against billions of dollars.

What we are now seeing is because of them: from the backslide in environmental laws and privacy to even what is happening in Venezuela and Greenland.

Above all, they are destroying the economy and risking EVERYONE IN THE WORLD DYING for short-term AI gains. 

Sam Altman has praised Trump for his lack of regulation in AI. 

Privacy protections and ethical development are being rolled back from Europe to China (and mind you, China originally was slowing down AI development to be responsible until the U.S. went crazy).

The world is caving to these men. 

The need for a societal shift is clear. 

And that is fundamentally why we are launching Yuvoice. 

I started writing this post in anger and then remembered I *am* doing something about it. 

Every single one of us has a responsibility to reshape the globe around tangible impact instead of traditional markers of "success." 

Good people should be in power, not the rich and famous.
