Within 15 months he was promoted to Group Sales Director and increased the sales by 800% in two years. In 1987 Mike set up his own company and grew sales of zero to £6 million within three years. In 1993 he joined forces with James Caan to found Alexander Mann. Mike and his team grew Alexander Mann from £1 million in 1993 to £106 million by 1999. In 2003, Mike founded the Solaris Group; a technology incubator where he funded and grew a number of technology businesses. The Solaris Group was sold in 2007.
