• Responsible for the central system used to track soft dollar contracts, users, and trading commissions.  Managed system issues, system enhancements, and testing.
• Analyzed trading and other investment data to determine compliance with internal policies, procedures and guidelines.
• Systems analysis to improve the trade import process from the Wealth Management Data Warehouse to the central soft dollar commission tracking system.  Implemented and automated the process for trade export reporting used in Best Execution decision-making. 
• Evaluated the tri-party process between Wells Fargo Wealth Management, research platform vendors, and the various exchange reporting entities.  Implemented a process improvement effort that reduced the overall budget and reduced risk to the firm. 
• Responsible for the day to day operations of the Investment and Fiduciary Services soft dollar and research budget of $10M - working with brokers, the trading desk, along with various vendors.

Risk Management Consultant/Product Manager

• Merged Legacy Wells Fargo and Legacy Wachovia Investment Management research and market data tools into a cohesive platform. Coordinated with 8+ projects to implement the 62 go forward tools and remove tools deemed unnecessary in the combined organization. 
• Managed the Factset system migration and implementation to 600 Investment Managers.
• Worked in conjunction with Investment Risk Management to ensure the project aligned with soft dollar regulations.
• Coordinated a team of professionals to renegotiate 130 market data contracts to reflect the strategic model of the combined organization that contributed a savings of over $2M.

• Assisted in the reengineering effort of the PMO financial management process.

I’m on the other side of my kids being sick more than you think is reasonable and figuring out how to juggle work, doctor appointments, and doing everything else that needs to be done

Now we have bathrooms strewn with face products and haircare and a craft table with more grandiose projects

Now I’m juggling thinking they don’t need me, with making memories, and giving them experiences they will always remember

I’m constantly looking for the good in the everyday that can aggravate me 

➖ Their backpacks and shoes all over the entryway

I’m glad they are still here in our house and I get the physical reminder because someday this mess with be gone

➖The loads of laundry I do every week

I’m glad they have clothes and I get to wash them so they can live their life feeling loved and supported.

➖The craft table and kid stuff throughout the house (although not toys) I’m thankful they have things to do and they are creative and still enjoy these things rather than being on a device

I have so many things to do and no time - it will always be this way 

Life feels overwhelming with the never-ending list of to do’s

Then you feel emotional and you may even feel out of control

These thoughts are showing you what you don’t want. 

So change it. 

Our thoughts are clues 

Ideas about what me must do 

What we must observe 

But they are not hard and fast truths of what will happen 

Or who you are

Your action will dictate what happens 

Here are 3 powerful questions to challenge your thoughts

✅ Is this true? 

✅ What is this challenge teaching me?

✅ What am I missing that I need to see?

I'd love to say I'm feeling refreshed and refocused coming back from our vacation 

But honestly I'm not. 

I'm feeling emotional. 
I'm feeling called to go inward.
I'm feeling sad. 

We had a great time don't get me wrong. 

I'm grateful we had this time. 

The last 4 years have been pivotal for me - my entire world has changed and shifted 

This trip made me realize how fast time goes.

How moments can easily slip away.

My girls are getting older.

I'm getting older.

I don't want to waste a *moment* being stuck in unhappiness, living in regret, or not living a life aligned to who I am.

It's normal to feel emotional and to have moments of sadness.

It's normal to see your life clearly when you have space from the day-to-day

It's normal to want to go inward to reconnect to you.

What does it mean to "get taken out"  ⤵

This is when you go down a rabbit hole or a thought pattern and it overwhelms you

Then you start making decisions + living from this place

My thoughts used to take me out for months, weeks, and years at a time - I missed out on the "living" part of life

I’ve figured out > how to direct my thoughts and actions towards a life I want 

I’ve figured out > how to catch a thought that isn’t serving me and change it 

I’ve figured out > how my actions are misaligned to what I actually want 

I’ve figured out > how to love myself despite still *figuring it out*

This is possible for anyone 

The next time you have a thought that brings up feelings in your body or emotions 

Pause and ask yourself - is this serving me and is this true? 

If not - change it 

You CAN actually change your life by changing your thoughts because this is where it starts. 

And when you start paying attention to your thoughts - they are like clouds, and the things we think are quite hilarious

I've been on a mission to "find my happy" for 8 years

When my youngest was 6 months old 

We sat on the beige carpeted floor staring at each other 

She was upright proud of her skills 

She was gurgling and cooing 

It was in this moment that I had an awakening 

I was miserable 

Yet she was staring at me, she thought I was amazing 
She didn't know the baggage I carried 
Or how crappy I felt 

I wasn't happy with my work despite having a career where I was doing well 

In this moment I said to her "I will find my way back to happy" 

It was a promise to both of my girls but more importantly to myself 

Since this time I've made many pivots to "find my happy" 

⏺️ Took a Director Role 
⏺️ Got promoted multiple times 
⏺️ Built a house / sold that home 
⏺️ Left Corporate 
⏺️ Moved into a cabin in the Northern Woods

And I've come to realize no matter where I am or what I'm doing my happiness was fleeting 

Feeling content and joyful is in fact a choice

And has less to do with the job you have or the physical things in your life

Your happiness isn't really what is happening in your life 

It's how you think about your life 

It's how many positive thoughts you have in your head vs. negative thoughts 

It's how much time per day you spend allowing a negative thought to create suffering and dictate your decisions.

✴️ I was the princess of my hometown but was kicked out 

Because I was young and ... foolish

✴️ 3 years ago we sold our home  

And moved to northern Wisconsin into our cabin.

Don't get the wrong idea it's not a log cabin but a home (I'm more of a glamper). 🥰

We kept it and recently moved back to the Twin Cities

✴️ I'm SUPER curious about human behavior and living differently 

Right now I'm learning about NLP (neurolinguistic programming - getting certified)

It uses perceptual, behavioral, and communication techniques to help someone change their thoughts and actions. 

Because everything you do starts with your thoughts.

✴️ I was a Tech Leader who became obsessed with personal development and finding my way back to happy by changing the way I thought and behaved

I had a great life on paper

You know the car, the house, the money, the title, but I wasn't happy. 

Not *really* but I felt like I was stuck.

I had achieved everything I set out to do.

But then I used a blueprint to redefine my career and life.

And I changed how I thought. Everything started to shift.

This week a visitor came to the girls school 

This made our week so I'm sharing this cute story with you 

This guy was hanging out in the courtyard at school 

He came right up to the door to get our attention 

But then heard music playing from one of the rooms 

And stood on his hind legs and started swaying 

Like the music was soothing him 

He then crawled under the bush closest to where the piano was playing 

No matter what your week looked like or what is happening in your life 

Find the little things
