I have worked with cross-border projects co-financed by EU funds, guiding them through different stages of the project life cycle. I have worked with cooperation programmes providing advisory services in the financial programmes management to ensure efficient implementation of EU funds, simplified processes and harmonised approaches. I am an advocate of simplified cost options and I believe that result-based financing is the future of regional policy. I am particularly interested in the innovative ways of cooperation, especially in financial instruments and blended financing. I am convinced that public funds could have been recycled and used in a more efficient ways with FIs. Working with the EU cohesion policy, I believe that regional development challenges could be tackled through cooperation, exchange of experiences, uptakes of new ideas and/or adjustment of good practices.
