🌿 Mindfulness is an energy saver 🌿

I was writing preparation notes for my next big project.
And I listed everything I need to do to feel ready and grounded.

The last thing I wrote was:
 “Make sure to be present (when you work with the group).”

Now I see… that should’ve been 𝘢𝘭𝘴𝘰 the *first* thing.

Because it’s the Alpha & Omega of my work.

Even after 8 years of practicing coaching, my number one preparation activity - whether for individual or group sessions - is very simple:

𝘉𝘦𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘪𝘯 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘱𝘳𝘦𝘴𝘦𝘯𝘵 𝘮𝘰𝘮𝘦𝘯𝘵.

I do simple tasks beforehand (like laundry 😄) to empty my mind.
Then, just before the session, I sit in silence for a few minutes.

I don’t reread notes.
I don’t reflect on what we talked about last time.
(I definitely don’t try to guess the topic - coaching is agenda-free, remember? 😄)

I meet the client where they are *now*.
I listen with honest attention and care.

And I know this makes the biggest positive difference for them.
It’s like we enter a shared zone of respectful presence - like a warm hug with just the right amount of space.

Only when I’m truly present can I hear what they need.

Only then do I feel that grounded, calm type of confidence to ask the question that moves them forward.


➡️ So why am I sharing this today?

Being present in the moment has a huge positive impact on the quality of my life. I see it and feel it in my work, in my relationships, my decisions, my energy levels.

And here’s something I’ve noticed over time:

𝘛𝘩𝘦 𝘮𝘰𝘳𝘦 𝘱𝘳𝘦𝘴𝘦𝘯𝘵 𝘐 𝘢𝘮, 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘮𝘰𝘳𝘦 𝘵𝘪𝘮𝘦 𝘴𝘦𝘦𝘮𝘴 𝘵𝘰 𝘦𝘹𝘱𝘢𝘯𝘥.
I feel less rushed and make clearer decisions.


So my conclusion is simple: 
If mindfulness has such a positive impact on my life, I’m sure it can have on yours too.

And another thing I’m 100% sure of is this:
𝐌𝐢𝐧𝐝𝐟𝐮𝐥𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐢𝐬 𝐚𝐧 𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐫𝐠𝐲 𝐬𝐚𝐯𝐞𝐫.

🌿 It prevents you from slipping into reactive mode (and unnecessary conflict).

🌿 It makes you more patient and calm.
(It’s hard to be mindful and agitated - try it and let me know if you succeed 😄)

🌿 It helps you see the bigger picture - because your mind is clear, and your decisions align with your values.
