I work at Arrow as a sales engineer, supporting the sales team with my techie knowledge. Along this I am trying to make security and all the things you must consider, easier to understand by explain and raise the awareness. Networking with people and exchange thoughts and experience is also important and invigorating. Most of my 20+years experience is as a linux technician where I have specialized in operation of the backup service. I strive to leave a trademark of high quality in all my assignments, as well as in interaction with others. If I fulfill this, is for others to decide. To develop and follow this ambition I have managed to get certified in several products and have a quite vast experience from many different assignments. I have been involved in lots of projects, where implement a new backup solution from start would be considered as one of the challenges I’m most proud of. A huge step outside the comfort-zone as a technician, involving many management decisions and regulations to comply. I have also had the responsibility to act in a role regarding the public key infrastructure. This made me pivot into security and I embrace every step on this journey. I'm constantly learning more to understand IT-security and all the complexity surrounding this topic, with the goal to get recognized as a senior expert and teach others who would like to learn more. Trough all my years, I have found that it is better to co-operate, and to speak up when something is confusing or ambiguous, instead of working toward the wrong or imaginary targets. I'm also eager to share my knowledge to my co-workers, as well as ask for help when in doubt. A team is always smarter than the individual. This approach has led me to be offered positions for leadership in projects, which involve implementing processes and routines to ensure delivery from technology to service. The experience I earned from these projects made me aware of that there is much more than just technology to be considered. I am also a firm believer in technology serving humans, instead of the other way around.
