Lead Software Engineer

Phyre is the leading digital wallet on the Bulgarian and Romanian markets. Partnering with Mastercard, Phyre lets you pay at any POS terminal with your phone, instead of a bank card, send money with no fees and stay on top of your daily expenses. Together with my extraordinary team, we managed to grow Phyre user base from 0 to 300 000 in less than 2 years.

Responsibilities: 
- Develop new applications and features, maintenance of existing systems
- Write clean, maintainable, testable, quality code
- Technical design of the features and applications
- Communicate technical implementation details and topics with 3rd parties
- Monitor logs and alarms for problems regarding backend projects, servers and services, troubleshoot and fix such issues (AWS CloudWatch)
- Take care of databases’ integrity
- Assessment of job candidates / Technical interviews
- Onboarding of new team members
- Participate in systems/solutions architecture and technical discussions
- Participate in definition and update of processes, policies, guidelines
- Participate in definition and execution of career paths for team members
- Regularly perform 1-on-1 meetings with team members, collect feedback, etc
- Maintain some Infrastructure/DevOps aspects related to team’s projects (e.g. CI) 
- Acquire prerequisites before start of implementation (in collaboration with QAs, if needed) - test accounts, test data, etc - from 3rd parties for testing 
- Take care of releases, changelogs, versions, version announcements, etc
- Self-improvement on development-related topics and used technologies
