As a freelance Social Media Marketing Consultant, I specialise in providing start-ups with tailored social media marketing solutions, whether it is to boost brand visibility, drive engagement, or increase sales. 

My services include the creation of customised social media marketing strategies, conducting social media audits, and providing consultations, and tailored workshops. I have had the pleasure of working with clients in a variety of industries from AI and health tech to nutrition and interior design in helping them achieve their unique goals and stand out in their respective markets.

📈 As part of my role at the School of Government, I crafted engaging social media content, consistently reflecting the essence of the department's activities and events and facilitated seamless communication with all the department’s students through various social media platforms. This resulted in an overall increase in event participation of 30% and an Instagram engagement rate of 3.7%, broadening our online reach and fostering a sense of community. 

Throughout my role I conducted in-depth data analysis, leveraging marketing statistics to inform strategic decisions and optimize content performance, and finally developed a comprehensive handover briefing and an Instagram marketing guide, ensuring a smooth transition and maintaining the consistency of the department's online brand.

Women In Politics UoB

As the Marketing Officer for the Women in Politics Society, my goal was to increase membership sales, and event participation, and create a sense of community by implementing a comprehensive marketing strategy and establishing a recognised brand.  

🎨 Upon starting my role, I orchestrated a complete rebranding, including a fresh logo design and branding package, to modernise and align the society's visual identity with its values. This served as the basis for managing and curating impactful content across all major social media platforms to promote our events. 

🏆 Thanks to my marketing efforts and our membership recruitment and retention, we achieved a notable 188% rise in society memberships in comparison to the previous year. We were also awarded the Guild 2022 Awards for Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion, for our work on raising awareness on gender issues and partnering with my start-up, Strong Survivors Talk, to tackle street safety and ensure our society members get home safe and stress-free after each event.

Strong Survivors Talk

In pursuit of my passion for raising awareness about gender-based violence and the lack of initiatives around student safety at university campuses, I had a lightbulb moment - a business idea addressing street safety concerns on university campuses through the development of a dedicated app.

The idea stemmed from the cultural shock I experienced when moving to the UK; being advised against walking alone in the dark or taking a taxi by myself at night was unsettling.

The issue became even more apparent when I moved to Selly Oak, a student-dense area near the University of Birmingham campus. I discovered that many students feared walking home alone after dark, and so rather opted for online lectures (or to skip them altogether), due to concerns of harassment. 

My envisioned solution was an app aimed to provide walking buddies, with real-time information about safe routes, and emergency contacts, fostering a safer environment for all members of the university community.

I became an active member of the B-enterprising network at the University of Birmingham, utilising the resources and opportunities to enhance my entrepreneurial skills and successfully secure funding. During the pursuit of this venture, I raised awareness and educated over 1,000 individuals online about sexual harassment and women's safety, contributing to a broader societal conversation.

Most notably, I assisted the University of Birmingham in developing its first-ever sex education course, aiming to create a more informed and empowered student community.

While the app didn't come to fruition, the Strong Survivors Talk initiative was a transformative experience. Recognising the weight of the issue and considering my final-year commitments, I made the difficult decision to let go. However, I discovered my passion for entrepreneurship and app development, leading me to pursue a computer science postgraduate degree and eventually start my current business - Happy Autistic Lady.

🎵As a Marketing Assistant at the Prague Philharmonia, I seamlessly blended my passion for music and experience of playing with the orchestra with my interest in business, contributing to the orchestra's digital presence and marketing strategies.

I managed the company's LinkedIn profile, fostering professional connections and engagement within the classical music community, and assisted in the recruitment and hiring process for the new Marketing Director, contributing to the selection of a key leadership figure for the orchestra's marketing endeavours.

My internship at Deloitte was a dynamic and enriching experience, allowing me to contribute to the audit process while deepening my understanding of financial analysis and strategic decision-making.

I conducted comprehensive data analysis on audit and financial statements, aiding in the identification of key trends and discrepancies, and translated reports and client communications, ensuring seamless communication between the audit team and clients.

I also gained firsthand experience and insights by shadowing the Director of Audit, allowing me to participate in on-site visits, where I not only observed but actively reported on meetings to the head auditors, fostering a collaborative and informed audit process.

During my internship at Raiffeisen Bank, I played a multifaceted role, gaining exposure to various financial departments and contributing to key initiatives.

I gained valuable insights into financial markets by shadowing stockbrokers, witnessing firsthand the intricacies of stock trading and investment strategies.

I also collaborated across Financial Departments and SEMM Prague Corporate Centre, gaining a comprehensive understanding of the bank's financial operations and corporate functions, and assisted the bank in preparing for the EU GDPR directive, contributing to the implementation of crucial data protection measures.

Finally, I provided valuable support to the HR department, actively participating in administrative matters to ensure smooth operations and compliance.

I accidentally quarantined for three months and didn't see a single soul...I hated it, but I had a great time.

When lockdown came everything was called off, and flights were cancelled, leaving me stranded but still determined to keep busy and motivated, or maybe distracted from reality? That's when I started looking into entrepreneurship and advocacy. Since then I can't get enough. ⬇️

In 2022 I joined Vera, my sister, leveraging my background in social media marketing and digital accessibility to level up our passion project into a thriving social enterprise: Happy Autistic Lady. ✨ 

Though quite quickly it evolved into something much deeper—a journey of self-discovery. I began to understand and embrace my own neurodivergent identity. Now, as co-founder and CEO, we provide businesses and educational institutions with empowering campaigns, consultancy, training, and unique branded merch to improve retention, brand reputation, and satisfaction. We can help you meet ethical and legal compliance whilst boosting team productivity and engagement. 💪

Our collaborations with influential organisations, including Ambitious about Autism and the EU Commission, highlight our commitment to broadening the conversation around neurodiversity.
