"Healthy organizations become intelligent over time - it doesn't work the other way around" Eric Strauss š¾š§ššš©šš£š š„š¤šØšš©šš«š šššš£šš, šš® ššŖšš”ššš£š šššš”š©šš® š¤š§ššš£ššÆšš©šš¤š£šØ, šššššŖšØš šš«šš§š®š¤š£š šššØšš§š«ššØ š©š¤ šš š”šš š¬šš”š”. What does it take to build a healthy organization? It starts with the one person leading it, and it gets propagated to every single person involved in it. From self-leadership to autonomy, from quality products to seamless systems, from effective teams to great culture, all aspects impact the health of the organization, and all can be influenced directly way before they show up in the bottom line. The biggest challenge is not whether we can influence them, or how, but understanding where to focus our time, energy, and resources to start to see exponential results. When our effort and resources are scattered all across the spectrum, we not only fail to see the results, but the health of both the organization and the individuals involved in it starts to decline. Also, we must not forget that health is not a milestone, but a dynamic equilibrium process, and one can keep in check that dynamic balance only if one knows what are the markers that need to be checked. The intelligence of the organization comes from knowing what to measure first and how to observe and course correct the derails way before they impact the bottom line. Copy-pasting KPIs and objectives just because they are in trend will only generate conflict and imbalance while measuring what matters for the organization in the now can help accelerate the growth in a much healthier way. If changing the awareness of just one person - be that GM, CEO, or Director - can double sales, teams, and profits in a matter of months, imagine the impact of developing the whole leadership team, or all the managers. Consequently, the opposite is also true, stagnating or struggling for years at the same turnover, same team size, or similar profits, while spreading thin the resources in an attempt to grow, be that diversifying, innovating, hiring, or partnering with others its a symptom of missing awareness on the organization's health markers. "Mens sana in corpore sano" - similarly to build an intelligent organization, we need to take care of its health first. As founder of several companies and consultant, my goal-setting and goal-achieving techniques have helped many chart and navigate the maze successfully. #leadershipdevelopment #organizationaldevelopment #upgradeyourself #coaching #training #mentoring
