spotKEEP

I am currently working on a start-up company that I have been passionate about over the last year.  This has been a great experience so far and it has forced me to step out of my comfort zone into many different roles. Since we are in the early stages, I have to wear many different hats!

SpotKEEP is a peer-to-peer mobile application that pairs those in need of parking to those who have parking available to them for rent. By doing this, we will be creating value for two customer segments (host and guest). SpotKEEP strictly utilizes private parking spaces such as driveways and or private parking lots. In other words, we are the Airbnb of driveways (private parking). We want to create an additional stream of revenue for the average consumer while making parking a much easier (and less stressful) time. 

The idea of spotKEEP first came to me last summer. My brother and I were on our way to a Timbers game (Portland’s Major League Soccer team). We left an hour early and we still could not find parking anywhere. I noticed many apartments around the stadium that had extra parking spaces. I thought, “why can’t I rent out one of these spaces?” We ended up being late to the game, missed the first goal, and had to park 30 minutes away (walking distance). This was very disappointing and from there I promised myself I would never be late to a game again! Hence, I started the development of spotKEEP and it has been a great time ever since.

As a Digital Project Manager at Rolling Adz, I am responsible for overseeing and driving the successful implementation of digital marketing campaigns and managing the development process of our upcoming app. My role entails collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, designers, and marketing specialists, to ensure the smooth execution of projects from initiation to delivery.

Over the past 6 months, I have helped small businesses redesign their previous mobile applications, web applications, and even websites. I design the full web-application within Adobe XD along with creating a prototype that shows the different functions within the app. I love bringing my clients ideas to life while also improving upon my skills/knowledge.

I was part of a team that helped On Site for Seniors, an elderly living facility located in Couer d'Alene, Idaho. Over the span of four months, we helped On Site for Seniors in a variety of ways. Initially, we spent a great deal of time identifying what issues or areas of their business needed improvement. From here, we were able to identify specific tasks that would help solve these issues (social media advertising, Google advertisements, SEO improvement, and even a website redesign).  Lastly, we were pleased that On Site for Seniors began implementing these suggestions (website redesign). Additionally, they agreed that they would pursue the rest of our recommendations once our time with the company concluded.  This was a great experience and one that I will not forget.
