Event Planner

Growing up, I had a lot of things I wanted to be—a news analyst, an actress, a lawyer. Ultimately, my love of advocating for others drove me to law school. After graduation, I practiced law in areas of estate planning, probate, and family law. 

The Financial Crisis influenced my decision to look for a different spot to use the skills I acquired in law school and practice.

My next stop was financial services, and I received my CFP® certification. I worked with individuals and families to build a legacy by developing and implementing financial plans that complemented their estate planning and tax objectives. I collaborated with estate planning attorneys and tax professionals to ensure that estate and tax planning was properly executed. 

Now I’m back on the legal and tax side as an estate planning attorney and I couldn’t be more excited about it! 

My practice includes estate and wealth planning for individuals and families looking to build and protect their legacies. This includes the basic estate plan comprising of wills, trusts, and powers of attorney, complex estate and tax planning, and post-death administration.

Family experiences and memories with my husband, Brent, and son, Liam, are what I want to invest in. Memories I hold from family travel were key to the decision to bring our son with us from a young age. We also enjoy our time on the golf course and hanging out with our Maltipoo, Peter Jennings. 

I serve on the Board of Directors for the Fathers and Family Support Center, YouthBridge Community Foundation, and Rooted Sisters, and believe strongly in supporting my community, friends, and colleagues. 

The choice of a lawyer is an important decision and should not be based solely upon advertisements.

Apparently I’m a “Property Ownership Comedian.” 

There are many ways to own property, and it can get super complicated if you own it jointly with someone you aren’t married to.

It’s not just about breaking up or no longer getting along with that buddy or sibling. There’s also survivorship rights and creditor rights to consider in addition to the other complications that arise because the law has more built in protections and mechanisms for married couples.
